Case study

1-5 London Wall

What highlights the sustainability strategy is the choice of cutting carbon, with the team minimizing the usage of new materials. With the goal being to retain the building's existing elements that are of historical significance, the design balances embodied carbon while ensuring future adaptivity.

The 1-5 London Wall forms one of four blocks surrounding Finsbury Circus which takes over most of the southeast corner. This grade II listed building had recently undergone an ambitious sustainability-focused refurbishment plan to upgrade and extend the five historic properties that form 1-5 London Wall.

Our team of experienced land surveyors at MSA where in charge of conducting a full measured survey, as well as working with Endurance Land and Carmody Groarke Architects providing a wide range of measured survey solutions including Scan to BIM.
