Verulam Golf Club

Verulam Golf Club is an established parkland course located in St Albans, England. Their challenging par 72 course, designed by James Braid in 1905, has matured over the years to provide a stern test of all aspects of the game. In 1923, Club Captain and successful businessman, Samuel Ryder joined forces with his brother James to promote the "Heath and Heather" professional tournament at Verulam, inviting forty-eight professionals to compete in a 36 hole medal competition. The first official Ryder Cup was played in 1927, where the Great Britain team were entertained at Verulam before they left for the competition in America.

Using advanced virtual design and visualisation, MSA worked together with 2ic Consultants to create digital twins of golf courses. Using these 3D models, the proposals for new reservoirs can be robustly assessed to provide a more reliable and sustainable source of water adjusting for climate change and future unpredictable weather patterns.
