Terrain modelling
Construction often requires the mass movement of earthworks in order to make optimal use of the site. Modelling the terrain of a site enables the consultant engineers to understand and cost this process. A terrain model is made up of ground measurements collated to simulate the ground surface. This information can then be used to calculate volumes between design and actual ground surface but also provides valuable information relating to drainage and slope detail.
