
Plans submitted for two office buildings at Wood Wharf
Wood Wharf (General Partner) Ltd - a joint venture between British Waterways, Canary Wharf Group and Ballymore Properties - submitted reserved matters applications for two office buildings, currently called W01 and W02-03. The two office buildings will be located on the northern side of the 17.2-acre site which is next to existing facilities at Canary Wharf.
Building W01 is designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, who previously designed the Clifford Chance Building at Canary Wharf. The building is 134m tall and provides 911,140 sq ft of office space. Building W02-03, at a height of 194m, is designed by architect Pelli Clarke Pelli and provides 1.6m sq ft of floor space. Pelli Clarke Pelli designed the centrepiece building at Canary Wharf, One Canada Square.
The Wood Wharf development is expected to be completed in four phases over a 10-15 year period. It will comprise six commercial buildings providing around 4.9m sq ft of office space and six residential buildings providing up to 1,668 homes including 35% affordable housing.
