Summit House in Paddington is the London office of JC Decaux, one of the world's leading outdoor advertising companies, and we were asked to survey it as a first step to assessing the building in order to plan for future changes.
MSA worked alongside GIA and JC Decaux to provide a series of detailed survey plans of the entire building. We used both traditional methods and laser scanning to provide data for rights of light survey analysis and net internal area reports. This information is essential for a planning submission and will help the development team to get their proposals through the borough council, thereby enhancing the value of the site.

- Quicktime movies of the internal areas embedded into a photographic report to accompany the area report provide a visual insight into the layout of floors and current usage
- Flexibility to extract further information at a later stage if required - EPC plans, measured building plans, architectural elevations and sections could all be produced from the same data without returning to site
- Set of accurate survey data crosschecked with each additional application for complete consistency
